This is the generation that will take us out of this world. How cool is that???

America is a nation of pathfinders. Space is our next frontier. Our kids are inspired to build the systems, technologies, and programs that will help us explore the unlimited potential space has to offer. But its really hard!

South Metro Denver is the largest hub of space companies in the country. Our kids are uniquely positioned to actively define and build what it will take to keep on exploring. Between super-strong STEM curricula, great arts programs, fitness and a clear direction, LPS has a tradition of success to help us all succeed together.

Every idea starts with a creative spark. Approaching new challenges with an open mind, a yes and attitude and a focus on making everyone around you do better than you will enable great magic. Improvisation is based on building connections with each other, learning how to communicate with people who are different from you, and having that connection with a person of trust. It is this mindset that I bring to help us all find the best places in our imagination.

Schools are the place where the community comes back together. This time is no different. Our kids are ecstatic to be back together, and our parents are grateful for some extra time in their day. Our teachers have never been more creative and our administrators have their eyes on student success.

Having the support team to help us all be our best is essential to prosper into the future. LPS resources are great. Let’s keep them that way.

LPS has a long history of making the most out of what we have. We are blessed to have great, long time community backing to offset government budget allocations. We are also lucky that so many of our corporations actively both promote and engage with our schools and teachers to ensure we have the resources necessary for world-class education. And lest not forget the active support of the LPS Foundation and numerous other non-profit and service organizations all working together to provide our kids with a chance to do great things. Fiscal prudence and responsibility in our schools are essential for our region to prosper.

LPS Students are a diverse mix. All of them need a chance to do whatever their calling may be. Some will attend college and some go right to jobs. Some will serve in our Armed Forces, and others will march to their own drum. Each deserves the best shot they have to tackle the unknown future with brains in their head, character in their body, and contagious optimism to lead into the future! LPS is here for us!
